Samsung Electronics announced on August 21, 2026, a voluntary disclosure regarding the establishment of an incentive fund for partners within its Device Solutions (DS) Division. The initiative aims to prevent safety accidents within workplaces, improve overall quality, and expand mutually beneficial cooperation activities with its partner companies.
The company will contribute a total of 78.9 billion KRW (~$57.0M USD based on 1384 KRW/USD) to the fund. The beneficiaries are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) among the resident partners of the DS Division. The funds will be administered through the Korea Foundation for Cooperation of Large, Small and Medium Business, Agriculture and Fisheries, which will distribute the payments to the respective partners.
- Safety Incentives: To be paid twice a year (September 2026 and February 2027) based on partner evaluation grades.
- Productivity Encouragement Grants: To be paid once a year (February 2027) to those who did not qualify for safety incentives.
