SK Hynix has issued an official clarification regarding a report published by JoongAng Ilbo on July 22, 2026, titled “SK Hynix’s Bold Move… Buying Intel’s Ohio Plant.” The report suggested that the company was pursuing the acquisition of Intel’s fabrication facilities and site located in Ohio, USA.
In response, SK Hynix stated that while the company continuously reviews various investment and acquisition opportunities to enhance its business competitiveness, there is no truth to the reports. The company explicitly confirmed that it has neither decided upon nor is it currently pursuing the acquisition of Intel’s Ohio site or Fab.
